den genauen Speicherort der Zugangsdaten kenne ich gar nicht, ich tippe mal auf das Profilverzeichnis von Thunderbird und den zugehörigen Ordner des Plugins. Das ist aber nur eine Vermutung.

Ich bekam Fehlermeldungen in der Statusleiste und im Logfile/der Fehlerkonsole, wie oben im Text beschrieben. Wenn Du die nicht bekommst, bin ich auch ratlos, denn irgendwas sollte die Fehlerkonsole natürlich schon ausspucken… Im Zweifel empfehle ich das das Forum zum Oxtender: http://www.open-xchange.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?27-OXtender-for-Thunderbird

thank you for your answer and the explanation. Yes, i must confess, i didn’t read any FAQ, i just tried it out. It’s the natural problem with App-Store-like solutions of easy installing plugins – you load it directly and you get lazy in reading documentations… and i fell in this routine too :)
That shouldn’t mean, that your plugin isn’t useful (i mentioned your Plugin because of it’s advantages) and i will explain the difference in the post above via update – with your “official” informations!

I just wanted to note that the reason my plugin doesn’t support securing the login form and admin panel is because, as you discovered here, WordPress has that functionality already. It’s actually covered in the FAQ’s for my plugin. It seems nobody looks there, so I think I’m going to move them, haha.
